Questions from a little child got me pondering on the answer to this question a lot of people may have. How can I believe in a God I cannot see?
I’ll share some things God has responded to me over time with, as answers that I believe will help you or your little or older child, your friend or colleague or family member or anyone you know who is trying to work out how they can believe when they cannot see.
Don’t be shocked but we are going into a little bit of science! Lol!
A little bit of Physics …
The Electromagnetic spectrum and visible light
There is a spectrum of light we have recognised. This is the electromagnetic spectrum and within that spectrum there is the visible spectrum or visible light. Visible light is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye. There are other frequencies, with their respective wavelengths and photon energies, but they are not visible to the human eye. However to the extent that we are able to identify them, we are able to see their effects and use them for our benefit.
Clearly we can see that THERE IS SO MUCH THAT EXISTS THAT IS NOT VISIBLE TO THE HUMAN EYE.
A little bit of Biology …
Microorganisms
A microorganism is a microscopic organism which may exist in single-celled form or in a colony of cells (Wikipedia). Microscopic here referring to a scale of objects that cannot be seen to the naked human eye without the use of a lens or microscope.
Again we see that THERE IS SO MUCH THAT EXISTS THAT IS NOT VISIBLE TO THE HUMAN EYE

The wind is such a great reminder of the fact that although we cannot see it, we can see its effects, and we can work with its effects for good. This echoes that REALITY IS NOT DETERMINED ONLY BY WHAT YOU SEE
The Invisibility but Reality of God
Before we discovered the electromagnetic spectrum, microorganisms and anything else that was not visible to the human eye, this things already existed.
God created all that we see and has existed before all things began. He may be invisible but He is real and has given us clues screaming all over creation about his existence.
Romans 1: 20 kjv
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
The Visibility of the Invisible God
No it is not a typo! Lol! This is the exciting part! This God who is invisible has made it such that we can see him, we can experience him, we can relate with him. How is this possible you may ask? I’ll show you! This is the most incredible thing you will ever get to discover in all your life.
The Man JESUS! Jesus is described as the express image of God in Hebrews 1:3. In Colossians below he is described as the image of the invisible God.
If God was on Instagram Jesus would be his PROFILE PICTURE!

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation.
In the book of John chapter 1, Jesus was called the Word of God.
To know this God, to relate with this God , the Word of God (JESUS) will show him clearly to you.
The written Word of God, the bible, is the portal, the lens, the miscroscope, the access point to the spectrum where God lives.
God’s spirit will guide anyone through those words to the reality of Him.
Finding God For You
If you are searching for God, if you are looking for a real true relationship with this amazing God that is spoken of, I encourage you to reach out to him, and ask him to show himself to you in a way that will erase every doubt and cause your heart to explode with the joy of finding as others have, the most precious treasure humanity will ever discover!!!!
