There’s something about women and the effect loving words can have on them, especially words from their beloved! We’re just wired that way aren’t we? Can you relate?
I still remember the first time my husband told me he loved me…. Aaaaaw…. It was a very special moment, and I can’t ever forget it… I knew it was coming, but when it did, hearing it really sealed something in my heart because i knew he meant it with all his heart and it was just so beautiful.
His words made me feel really, really good, confident, special, sure about us and full of positive expectation for our future and marriage to come because I knew, that I knew i was loved by him and I was going to be his bride in the future.
I’m grateful that we’ve had a relationship that has blossomed and I can still say that the words he speaks to me are still so vital in preserving and nourishing our relationship.
So where am i going with this you may ask? Well, I was recently brooding over some scriptures and this picture of my husband and his words to me came up in my heart and it just really opened my eyes to something i want to share with you…
Ephesians 5:25-27
For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her 26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.[b]27 He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.
John 15:3
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
From the scriptures above i saw this, Jesus makes his bride the church “beautiful” blemish free, spotless, no wrinkles, with his words!
And i totally get this, because whenever i give time to sit under his words and just take them all in, i come out feeling sweet, revived, refreshed, renergised, whole, confident, sure, full of clarity and most importantly loved!.
So my friend I thought to share with you because if you are like me and you are betrothed to the King, our Lord Jesus, our Knight in shining armour, our superhero, well, He, is coming real soon for his lovely bride but while we wait he wants us kept, preserved, feeling beautiful, refreshed, renergised, made whole by his words! So let’s keep feasting amd receiving his words for they have been given to make you and i his bride, beautiful through and through.
Love,
God’s daughter
